Marlene Martindale

Marlene Martindale has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She not only works in the field but is a lifetime enthusiast, having run marathons, dozens of road races, triathlons, and duathlons. She began teaching group exercise classes when she left her full time job to raise her four children. Her next step was to become an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, with additional training in TRX, Pilates and Yoga. Most recently Marlene received her certification as a Lifestyle Weight Management Coach. Although running has been her lifelong passion it has been barre class that has kept her healthy and happy on the road. When not teaching barre classes and working, Marlene loves time with her family and friends. If she has the chance to get away you’ll have to look for her in either the mountains or on the coast.

Mike Boyd

Mike Boyd has been an avid runner and cyclist since entering his first Tulsa Run in 1980. Since that time he has participated in 30 Tulsa Runs, 14 marathons and become a road biking enthusiast. Mike has ridden his bike in local events, the MS150, Freewheel and Tulsa Tough to name a few, as well as international rides through Bordeaux, Provence, Burgundy and the Pyrenees. When asked about his favorite marathons he recalls the beautiful Valley of the Giants in northern California but cannot leave out the excitement of either the New York City or Marine Corps Marathons. He recalls cycling in Santa Fe up to the Ski Basin and the climbs in the Pyrenees as his most challenging rides ever. Mike has maintained a strong yoga practice over the years which influences his teaching style. Mike is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor as well as a TRX Suspension Training Professional.

Jennifer McConnell

Jennifer McConnell is a certified TRX instructor and has an additional certification in TRX Sports Medicine which incorporates TRX Suspension Training exercises as part of therapy for injury rehabilitation, prevention, and overall fitness programs. As a fitness fanatic Jennifer strives to motivate her clients to challenge themselves while encouraging them to respect their limits. The goal being improvement, not setbacks from injuries. When not teaching classes at Sculpt Tulsa you can usually spot her running along Riverside Drive or through the neighborhoods of Midtown. Jennifer has completed 11 marathons to date and is still counting. All that running allows her to indulge in chocolate (in moderation of course). Name a restaurant in town and she’ll tell you the best dessert on the menu.

Ashley Casillas Althage

Ashley Casillas Althage is new to the fitness industry but not new to having a deep passion for physical fitness. She couldn’t decide which fitness program to commit to until she took her first barre class from Marlene; she was hooked from her first tuck! Ashley is now a certified Group Exercise Instructor. She has been teaching at Sculpt Tulsa since shortly after the new studio opened. When Ashley is not teaching barre or working as a Geo-tech/office manager at Casillas Petroleum Corporation she can be found either at Stonehorse Cafe, her favorite restaurant, at home loving on her new baby girl or traveling with her family. In her free time she enjoys improving her physical fitness, volunteering at local charities, and enjoying a big glass of red wine with her husband. When asked, she will tell you that the scariest thing she has ever done is paragliding off the top of Ajax Mountain in Aspen, CO.

Morgan Meister

Morgan brings a lifetime of dance experience to Sculpt Tulsa. After completing her graduate degree at Oklahoma State University Morgan began working full time for a Personality Assessment Company in Tulsa and planning her wedding. She needed an effective fitness program and found herself in Marlene’s barre class at Sculpt Tulsa. It was an instant fit. Not only did Morgan love the classes, she had finally found a workout that gave her the results she wanted. In 2012 Morgan began teaching classes at Sculpt Tulsa. Her favorite aspect of being an instructor, just ask her, it is all of the success stories. Not only is Morgan enjoying her life as a newlywed but she has another new addition, a puppy named Charlie, at least he is called that on his good days. When not busy working and teaching class Morgan loves going to OSU football games, enjoying wine nights with her girlfriends and playing some tennis and golf.

Shannon Mitchener

Shannon brings her extensive dance background to Sculpt Tulsa. Not only did she dance most of her life but she also taught ballet, pointe, tap and jazz. Growing up in Northern Colorado she naturally developed a love for being fit and maintaining an active lifestyle. In 2007 Shannon moved to Tulsa with her husband where she works professionally as a Registered Interior Designer. She joined Sculpt Tulsa first as an avid participant and eventually as one of our staff. She teaches and loves both barre and TRX, finding the results give her the muscle tone and strength that she had while dancing. When not busy with design work or teaching Shannon is not afraid to get dirty, four-wheeling with her husband in their jeep, if it’s too hot you may find her boating on one of our area lakes.

Angela Strode

Angela comes to Sculpt with a background in music and dance. In college, she studied music and performed with a lyrical dance company before earning her degree in Apparel Merchandising. After leaving her career as a Corporate Recruiter to stay at home with her two boys, she began searching for a fitness routine that would give great results and also feed her love for dance. Once she experienced barre and saw the quick results it delivered, she knew that was exactly what she was looking for! Barre gives her a workout that not only tones and sculpts her body but also incorporates her love for dance and movement. Moving from a client of Sculpt to an instructor was an easy decision! In Angela’s classes, you will sense her passion for helping people achieve their greatest results. When not in the studio, you will usually find Angela busy with her boys’ activities, however, when she does find the time, she enjoys traveling with her family, shopping (of course), or enjoying a nice bottle of wine with girlfriends.

Cetina Abbott

Cetina brings her lifetime of dance training to Sculpt Tulsa.  Dance began for Cetina at age 5 and continued competitively throughout high school.  She was accepted into the dance program at Long Beach State in Southern California where she minored in dance.  Cetina moved to Tulsa with her husband where they began their family with, her 3 stars, Charles, Carter, and Taylor.  Throughout those early years of having and raising babies running became her number one method of exercise.  Missing ballet she longed for the day she would be able to meet the barre again.  When she found Sculpt Tulsa, it was an instant fit!  Once again she was developing the strength and lean muscle lines she had as a dancer.  Teaching for her was the next step.  Cetina absolutely loves sharing her passion for barre and helping clients obtain their fitness goals.  Although rare, in her spare time you may see her on a run with her dog Addy, working in the yard or she’ll might be tucked away doing a bit of online shopping.
